Eli & Fur are a British electronic music duo composed of Eliza Noble (known as Eli) and Jennifer Skillman (known as Fur). Noble and Skillman met at the age of 16 while attending Hurtwood House, a performing arts college near Guildford in Surrey, England. Noble studied music technology, while Skillman studied art.[4][5] The pair bonded during a group school trip to Palma, Majorca, in 2008 and moved to London together later that year, choosing to forgo university.[6] Inspired by deep house and techno artists such as Pan-Pot, Maceo Plex, and the Adana Twins, they began DJing in 2012, starting with a performance at a house party before purchasing equipment and playing sets in London venues.[6] In 2013, they formed the duo Eli & Fur and launched their own record label, NYX Music, with the release of their debut EP, Illusions.[6] They have since built their careers through releases on labels including Crosstown Rebels and Anjunadeep, signing with the latter in 2018.[6] Skillman was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2019, a chronic condition causing widespread pain that has impacted her mobility but not their productivity; she has shifted focus toward studio production while Noble handles more DJing duties.[6][7]Discography
Studio albums
Eli & Fur's debut studio album, Found in the Wild, was released on June 25, 2021, through Anjunadeep.[8] The 12-track record is structured as a dual-part concept, with the first half exploring introspective and emotional themes through atmospheric soundscapes, while the second half shifts to more upbeat, club-oriented tracks that highlight the duo's production skills in melodic house and deep house.[9][10] Key tracks include "Fire To Fire," "In Too Deep," and a collaboration with CamelPhat on "Waiting (Eli & Fur's Found Version)," blending lyrical depth with pulsating rhythms.[8] Critics praised the album for its cohesive blend of personal introspection and dancefloor energy, marking a significant evolution in the duo's sound from their earlier EPs.[11] Their sophomore studio album, Dreamscapes, arrived on September 27, 2024, via [PIAS] Électronique.[12] Spanning 15 tracks across two volumes, the release draws inspiration from the liminal hours between dusk and dawn, incorporating vocal-driven electronic elements with influences from house, dream pop, and minimalist synths.[13][14] Standout songs like "Dreamscapes," "Golden Eyes," and "Missing You" emphasize the duo's songwriting roots, creating an immersive, melancholic yet euphoric atmosphere suitable for both club settings and reflective listening.[15][16] The album received acclaim for its immaculate sound design and emotional resonance, building on the foundations of their debut while expanding into more sensual and nocturnal territories.[17]Remix albums
Eli & Fur have produced a series of remix albums that reinterpret their original compositions through collaborations with prominent electronic music producers, expanding the sonic landscapes of their core releases. Their debut remix album, Found In The Wild (Remixed), was issued on December 14, 2021, by Anjunadeep.[18] This expansive 17-track collection reworks material from their debut album Found In The Wild, featuring contributions from artists including Maya Jane Coles on "Come Back Around," Marsh on "Wild Skies," and Polar Inc. on "Carbon," blending deep house, progressive elements, and melodic reinterpretations.[19] Building on this approach, Follow The Dark (Remixed) followed on August 22, 2023, also via Anjunadeep.[20] The seven-track release remixes selections from their 2023 Follow The Dark EP series, with standout versions such as Cristoph's driving take on "Last Train," Rezident's atmospheric rework of "Where I Find My Mind," and CamelPhat's club-oriented spin on "Temptation," emphasizing the duo's evolution toward darker, more introspective tones.[21] Most recently, Dreamscapes Remixes emerged on May 9, 2025, through [PIAS] Électronique.[22] This seven-track album reimagines tracks from their 2024 sophomore effort Dreamscapes, incorporating immersive remixes by Monkey Safari on "Oceanside," DAVI on "Hello Echo," and Sinca on "Insomnia," which deepen the original's dreamy, melodic house foundations with varied textural explorations.[22]Extended plays
