Hitech Grand Prix
Hitech Grand Prix is a British motor racing team focused on single-seater junior formulae, founded in late 2015 as a joint venture between Oliver Oakes and Dmitry Mazepin.[1]
Based at Silverstone, the team debuted in 2016 with a three-car entry in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, where it finished third in the teams' standings the following year and nurtured talents such as George Russell, who progressed to Formula 1.[1]
Hitech has achieved multiple championships, including the British F4 drivers' and teams' titles in 2024 with Deagen Fairclough and in 2025 with Fionn McLaughlin, alongside successes in FIA Formula 3 such as Luke Browning's win at Spielberg in 2024.[1][2]
Competing currently in FIA Formula 2—where it ranks second in the 2025 standings with 257 points—FIA Formula 3, GB3, and British F4, the team expanded to F1 Academy and Formula Winter Series in 2025.[3][4]
Ownership shifted to full control by Oakes in early 2021 and to Mr. Liu Guo Cai in late 2025, with Oakes continuing as team principal.[1][5]
