Jade Anouka
Jade Anouka is a British actress and writer acclaimed for her dynamic stage portrayals and screen roles.[1] She rose to prominence through the Donmar Warehouse's all-female Shakespeare trilogy directed by Phyllida Lloyd, in which she played Ariel in The Tempest, Hotspur in Henry IV, and Mark Antony in Julius Caesar.[1][2] Anouka has earned recognition including The Stage Award for Acting Excellence in 2014 and commendations from the Ian Charleson Awards, alongside an Olivier nomination for her title role in The Phlebotomist at Hampstead Theatre.[1] On television, she portrayed the cliff-ghast witch Ruta Skadi in His Dark Materials and Jess in ITV's Cleaning Up, while her film credits include Leah in Fisherman's Friends and Alba in Last Christmas.[1][2] More recently, Anouka wrote and starred in her one-woman show Heart and joined the cast of HBO's Dune: Prophecy as Sister Theodosia.[1]
