Pretty Empowered
Pretty Empowered is a professional wrestling stable signed to the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), currently consisting of sisters Kenzie Paige and Kylie Paige. The group debuted on March 20, 2022, at the Crockett Cup, initially as a tag team of Ella Envy and Kenzie Paige, challenging for the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship.[1] Pretty Empowered expanded into a stable, adding Kylie Paige in May 2022 and Roxy later that year, and became three-time NWA World Women's Tag Team Champions, with reigns including a victory over The Hex in 2023.[2] Kenzie Paige, the stable's leader, also won the NWA World Women's Championship on August 27, 2023, holding it for 720 days until losing it to Natalia Markova on August 16, 2025, at the NWA 77th Anniversary Show.[3] As of November 2025, Kenzie and Kylie Paige continue to compete as a tag team within the NWA women's division.[4]History
Formation and debut
Pretty Empowered originated as a professional wrestling tag team in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), comprising Ella Envy and Kenzie Paige. The pair, who had previously competed individually on the independent circuit, aligned to form the group ahead of their NWA debut, adopting a glamorous, heel persona centered on empowerment through cunning and dominance.[5] On March 20, 2022, during Night 2 of the NWA Crockett Cup at the Athens Armory in Athens, Georgia, Pretty Empowered made their official NWA in-ring debut challenging The Hex (Allysin Kay and Marti Belle) for the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship.[6][1] The match lasted 7 minutes and 10 seconds, with Pretty Empowered attempting heel tactics including illegal tags and distractions, but ultimately losing via pinfall to The Hex's finishing move, Hex Marks the Spot. This appearance immediately established the team as ambitious contenders in the NWA women's division, setting the stage for their pursuit of gold.[1]Early tag team success
Pretty Empowered, initially consisting of Ella Envy and Kenzie Paige, made their debut as a tag team in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) on March 20, 2022, during Night 2 of the Crockett Cup event. In their first match, they challenged the reigning NWA World Women's Tag Team Champions, The Hex (Allysin Kay and Marti Belle), but fell short in a competitive bout that lasted over seven minutes.[7] Despite the defeat, the duo's aggressive style and chemistry impressed audiences and NWA officials, setting the stage for rapid ascension in the women's tag division.[1] Building on their debut momentum, Pretty Empowered earned a rematch against The Hex at the NWA Alwayz Ready pay-per-view on June 11, 2022. In a high-stakes encounter, Envy and Paige capitalized on their opponents' fatigue from a long title reign, securing the victory and dethroning The Hex after 287 days as champions. This win marked Pretty Empowered's first championship gold and established them as immediate contenders in the NWA.[8][9] The triumph was particularly notable as it occurred just three months after their debut, highlighting the tag team's quick adaptation and potential.[10] Following the title victory, Pretty Empowered defended their championships successfully in several defenses throughout 2022, including against notable teams that tested their resilience and teamwork. These early reigns, lasting until early 2023, solidified their reputation as a fresh, dominant force in NWA women's tag team wrestling, paving the way for the group's expansion.[11]Expansion into a stable
Following their successful run as a tag team, Pretty Empowered expanded into a stable in the spring of 2023, incorporating Kenzie Paige's younger sister Kylie Paige and valet Roxy to bolster their presence in the NWA women's division.[12] This development allowed the group to compete in multi-person matches and exert greater influence across the roster, transitioning from a duo focused on tag team competition to a dominant faction.[13] The expansion was publicly revealed ahead of the 2023 NWA Crockett Cup, where Pretty Empowered—now comprising Ella Envy, Kenzie Paige, Kylie Paige, and Roxy—was announced for a high-stakes hardcore team war against M95 (Madi Wrenkowski and Missa Kate), along with La Rosa Negra and Samantha Starr.[12] The match, held on June 3, 2023, at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Annex, highlighted the stable's new dynamic, with the group attacking their opponents pre-bell in a chaotic brawl involving weapons and interference.[14] Although Pretty Empowered lost the encounter via pinfall after a prolonged battle, the event marked their debut as a unit and underscored their aggressive, numbers-based strategy. Kylie Paige's inclusion added a personal layer to the stable, as the sisters' alliance amplified their on-screen chemistry and heel persona, emphasizing themes of family loyalty and empowerment.[15] Roxy, serving primarily in a managerial role, provided ringside support during early stable activities but departed shortly after, leaving the core trio of Envy, Kenzie Paige, and Kylie Paige to continue as the primary iteration.[16] This reconfiguration enabled Pretty Empowered to defend their tag team titles interchangeably under the Freebird Rule, solidifying their status as a versatile and intimidating force in NWA programming.[13]Dominant era and title reigns
Pretty Empowered's dominant era in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) women's division solidified following the tag team's formation, marked by extended championship reigns and control over key titles. In June 2022, Kenzie Paige and Ella Envy, competing as Pretty Empowered, defeated The Hex (Allysin Kay and Marti Belle) to win the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship at the Alwayz Ready event in Knoxville, Tennessee, ending The Hex's 287-day reign. This victory initiated a 245-day title run, during which the duo successfully defended the belts against several challengers, establishing their presence as a formidable unit in the division. Their reign concluded in February 2023 when they lost the titles to the Renegade Twins, though a brief, same-day transition involving Envy and Roxy as interim champions highlighted the group's adaptability amid roster changes. The era reached its peak in August 2023 at the NWA 75th Anniversary Show, where Pretty Empowered expanded its influence with the addition of Kylie Paige to the stable. On Night 2 of the event in St. Louis, Missouri, Envy and Kylie Paige captured the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship by defeating M95 (Madi Wrenkowski and Missa Kate), marking the stable's third overall reign with the titles and Envy's fourth individually. Simultaneously, Kenzie Paige dethroned long-reigning champion Kamille in the main event to win the NWA World Women's Championship, ending Kamille's record 813-day run and granting Pretty Empowered simultaneous control of both premier women's titles in the promotion. This achievement, dubbed the "Pretty Era" by the group, underscored their dominance, as they held "all the gold" in the division and positioned themselves as history-makers, with Kylie Paige becoming the youngest NWA tag team champion at the time. During this period from late 2023 into early 2024, Pretty Empowered maintained their grip through key defenses, including high-profile matches against established teams like The Hex, reinforcing their status as the top faction in NWA women's wrestling. The tag team titles were held by Envy and Kylie Paige for 139 days until January 13, 2024, at the Paranoia event in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where they fell to The King Bees (Charity King and Danni Bee), ending the reign on a taped episode of NWA Powerrr aired February 27. Kenzie Paige, however, continued her individual dominance, retaining the NWA World Women's Championship through numerous defenses and surpassing 500 days as champion by January 2025, before losing it to Natalia Markova on August 16, 2025, at the NWA 77th Anniversary Show in Long Island, New York, after a 720-day reign. These accomplishments cemented Pretty Empowered's legacy as a powerhouse stable, with multiple title holdings that reshaped the NWA women's landscape.Recent activities and changes
In early 2025, Kylie Paige sustained an injury that sidelined her from in-ring competition, prompting a temporary restructuring within Pretty Empowered. Kenzie Paige partnered with Big Mama to challenge for the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship, defeating The IT Girls (Ella Envy and Miss Starr) to win the titles on the February 12, 2025 episode of NWA Powerrr.[17] This reign lasted until March 22, 2025, when the duo dropped the championships, marking a brief but successful interlude for Kenzie outside her usual tag team alignment.[11] Kylie Paige made her return to the ring in April 2025 after recovering from the injury, allowing Pretty Empowered—now reverted to the Paige sisters—to resume their core tag team dynamic. On the April 22, 2025 episode of NWA Powerrr, they secured a victory over The Money Birds (Gigi Rey and Lady Bird Monroe) in a non-title tag team match, reestablishing their presence in the division.[18] The stable continued to compete actively throughout the spring and summer, including a tag team dog collar match on September 18, 2025, during the NWA New Mexico DCCW Hard Reset event.[19] By mid-2025, individual pursuits began to highlight the group's evolving dynamics. Kenzie Paige defended her NWA World Women's Championship against former Pretty Empowered member Ella Envy on July 26, 2025, retaining the title in a highly personal matchup stemming from their shared history.[20] Meanwhile, Kylie Paige vied for her own singles opportunity, competing in a number one contendership bout for the NWA World Women's Championship earlier that month. The sisters also teamed up at NWA Samhain 3 on October 17, 2025, contributing to the event's card amid the promotion's ongoing women's division storylines.[21] Tensions within Pretty Empowered surfaced prominently in late October 2025, signaling potential instability. On the October 26, 2025 episode of NWA Powerrr, Kenzie Paige verbally confronted her sister Kylie, lashing out in a segment that alluded to growing discord between the siblings and raising questions about the stable's unity moving forward.[22] This internal friction contrasted with their earlier collaborative successes, marking a shift from dominance to uncertainty as of November 2025.Members
Current members
Pretty Empowered currently consists of the sister tag team of Kenzie Paige and Kylie Paige, who reformed the group in late 2024 following internal conflicts and the departure of other members.[21][23] As of November 2025, the duo remains signed to the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and actively competes as a unit in women's tag team and multi-woman matches, leveraging their familial chemistry and shared training background to compete in the division.[24][25] Kenzie Paige, the older sister born on April 20, 1997, serves as the leader and most prominent member of Pretty Empowered. She held the NWA World Women's Championship from August 27, 2023, to August 16, 2025, when she lost it to Natalia Markova at the NWA 77th Anniversary Show, and has been instrumental in the stable's resurgence by defending the championship in tag team contexts alongside her sister.[21][24] Kenzie's in-ring style emphasizes technical prowess and high-flying maneuvers, honed from her early career in independent promotions before joining NWA in 2021. Her leadership has positioned Pretty Empowered as a top heel faction, often interfering in singles matches to protect their collective interests.[26] Kylie Paige, born on January 28, 2000, complements her sister's aggression with a more calculated, power-based approach, frequently acting as the enforcer in tag team bouts. She joined NWA in 2022 and quickly aligned with Kenzie, solidifying their sibling partnership as the core of Pretty Empowered. Kylie has contributed to several high-profile victories, including defenses of the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship earlier in their career, though the duo currently focuses on multi-woman warfare to reclaim tag gold.[23][20] Their combined efforts have kept Pretty Empowered relevant in NWA's women's division, with recent appearances at events like NWA Samhain 3 in October 2025, where they competed in a no disqualification match against the Country Gentlemen.[21][27]Former members
Roxy joined Pretty Empowered as its third member on September 27, 2022, during the group's self-hosted episode of NWA Powerrr at the Pretty Empowered Surge event, expanding the stable beyond the original tag team of Kenzie Paige and Ella Envy.[28] She quickly integrated into the faction's activities, partnering with Ella Envy—dubbed "Pretty Empowered 2.0"—to capture the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship from The Renegade Twins on the February 21, 2023, episode of NWA Powerrr.[29][30] Their championship reign proved short-lived, lasting only 43 days before they dropped the titles to Madi Wrenkowski and Missa Kate on NWA Powerrr.[31] Roxy's tenure ended soon after, with the stable reforming around Kenzie Paige's sister, Kylie Paige, who replaced her as Envy's tag partner in a new iteration of the group by mid-2023.[32][33] Ella Envy was a founding member of Pretty Empowered, initially teaming with Kenzie Paige to win the New South Tag Team Championship in November 2021 and later the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship at the NWA 74th Anniversary Show in August 2022.[34][28] She remained a core figure through multiple lineup changes, including successful defenses and regains of the tag titles alongside both Roxy and Kylie Paige, contributing to the stable's status as three-time NWA World Women's Tag Team Champions as a unit.[35] Envy's departure from the group occurred in conjunction with her exit from an exclusive NWA contract, which she confirmed on January 9, 2025, transitioning to free agency while expressing openness to future independent and major promotion opportunities.[36][37] Following her exit, Pretty Empowered continued as a tag team primarily consisting of the Paige sisters, Kenzie and Kylie.[23]Accomplishments and impact
Pretty Empowered has grown significantly since its launch, impacting thousands of girls aged 9-14 through hands-on workshops and mentorship focused on confidence, leadership, self-care, and STEM careers.
