Development
"47 Days" marked the directorial debut of Pradeep Maddali, who also penned the original screenplay for the film.[12] Previously serving as an assistant to director Puri Jagannadh, Maddali drew from his experience in short films to craft this feature-length project.[12] The conceptualization of "47 Days" originated from a single scene in Maddali's award-winning short film "Juliet," which had received recognition from IIM Calcutta.[12] He adapted and expanded this sequence into a full narrative centered on a suspenseful investigation unfolding over 47 days, blending mystery thriller elements with dramatic personal stakes to create a real-time trope-driven story.[12] This theme paid homage to influences like director K.
