Anand Pandit
Anand Pandit (born 1963) is an Indian film producer, distributor, and real estate developer who founded the production company Anand Pandit Motion Pictures.[1][2]
Pandit entered the film industry with his production debut in Wajahh: A Reason to Kill (2004) and has since produced notable projects including Chehre (2021), Kabzaa (2023), and Swatantrya Veer Savarkar (2024), the latter drawing criticism for its portrayal of historical figure Vinayak Damodar Savarkar as potentially propagandistic.[2][3]
His films have occasionally sparked controversies, such as Thank God (2022) facing complaints for offending religious sentiments and involvement in the PM Narendra Modi biopic amid debates over freedom of expression.[4][5]
In 2024, Pandit filed a police complaint against fellow producers alleging fraud in movie investment recovery, highlighting financial disputes within Bollywood.[6]
Primarily building wealth through real estate rather than blockbuster films—none of which have reportedly crossed ₹100 crore at the box office—Pandit achieved billionaire status with an estimated net worth of ₹8,660 crore as of 2025, ranking him among India's top real estate tycoons per the Hurun India Rich List.[7][8]
