Forestella
Forestella (Korean: 포레스텔라) is a South Korean crossover vocal quartet known for blending classical, musical theater, and contemporary pop elements through a cappella and vocal harmonies.[1] Formed as the winners of the JTBC audition program Phantom Singer 2 in 2017, the group has achieved prominence in the crossover music scene with their debut album Evolution released on March 14, 2018.[2][3] The quartet consists of baritone Bae Doo-hoon, tenor and countertenor Kang Hyung-ho, tenor Cho Min-gyu, and bass Ko Woo-rim, each bringing distinct vocal ranges and backgrounds in musical theater and classical performance to create their signature sound.[4] Since their formation, Forestella has been managed by Beat Interactive and has built a dedicated fanbase called Soopbyeol, drawn to their emotive interpretations of songs ranging from opera arias to rock anthems.[5] Forestella's career highlights include multiple victories on the KBS program Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend, where they secured six consecutive wins in 2023, establishing them as a dominant force in live vocal competitions.[6] They have released several studio albums, such as Mystique (2019) and The Forestella (2021),[7] alongside successful concert tours, including their 2025 national tour The Wave.[8] Following Ko Woo-rim's discharge from military service in May 2025, the group resumed activities as a full quartet, releasing the single "Everything" in July 2025.[9][7] The group has earned accolades like the Brand of the Year Award for four consecutive years from 2021 to 2024, recognizing their influence and popularity in the crossover genre.[6]History
Formation and Phantom Singer 2 (2017)
Phantom Singer is a South Korean survival audition program broadcast by JTBC, focused on selecting talented male vocalists to form a crossover quartet that blends classical, opera, and popular music genres. The second season, which premiered on August 11, 2017, and aired weekly on Fridays until its conclusion on November 11, 2017, attracted over 200 applicants from diverse musical backgrounds, including opera singers, musical theater performers, and pop artists.[10][11] The format of Phantom Singer 2 involved initial individual auditions, followed by random quartet formations for preliminary rounds to test harmony and collaboration. Surviving teams then stabilized into consistent groups for advanced stages, performing challenging repertoires that showcased vocal range, synchronization, and emotional delivery. The competition emphasized creating a quartet capable of rivaling international groups like Italy's Il Divo, with judges evaluating technical precision alongside stage charisma.[11] Forestella emerged from this process when baritone Bae Doo-hoon, countertenor Kang Hyung-ho, tenor Cho Min-gyu, and bass Go Woo-rim united as a team during the semi-final rounds. Bae brought experience as a pop and musical theater singer, Kang offered a rare countertenor voice honed outside professional music as a former office worker, while Cho and Go contributed professional opera training from prestigious institutions. Their diverse vocal timbres—ranging from high countertenor to deep bass—created a balanced ensemble that impressed throughout the competition.[12][7] In the grand finale on November 11, 2017, Forestella delivered standout performances of operatic arias, musical numbers, and crossover arrangements, securing first place among the competing quartets. This victory officially formed the group, with their name derived from "forest" (English) and "stella" (Italian for star), evoking imagery of soothing woodland music illuminated by stellar brilliance. The win provided them with production support and a debut platform, solidifying their foundation as a pioneering Korean crossover act.[13]Debut and early releases (2018)
Forestella officially debuted as a quartet on March 14, 2018, under Arts & Artists Entertainment, releasing their first full-length album titled Evolution. The album consisted of 13 tracks that blended classical influences with contemporary pop arrangements, emphasizing the group's signature vocal harmonies and operatic techniques. Critics noted the release as a showcase of the members' versatile range, transitioning from their Phantom Singer 2 victory into a professional act aiming for broader appeal.[12][14] The lead single, "You Are My Star" (Korean: "Neo-neun Nae Byeol"), served as the primary title track, composed by the production team ZigZag Note, known for collaborations with artists like BTS and Girls' Generation. This ballad highlighted emotional depth through layered vocals and orchestral elements, accompanied by a music video that depicted starry night themes to symbolize aspiration and unity. A secondary title track, "The Journey of Love" (Korean: "Sarang-ui Yeojeong"), complemented the album's narrative, offering a more introspective tone with piano-driven melodies and choral builds. No additional singles or albums were released by the group in 2018, with Evolution marking their sole musical output that year.[12] To promote the debut, Forestella embarked on their first nationwide concert tour, "Evolution Concert," commencing shortly after the album's launch. The tour spanned multiple cities, including Seoul and Anseong, featuring live performances of album tracks alongside covers like "Holding Out for a Hero" and selections from their Phantom Singer repertoire. These concerts underscored the group's stage presence, drawing audiences with elaborate staging and acoustic sets that amplified their crossover style. The promotional efforts helped establish Forestella's presence in the domestic music scene, setting the foundation for future endeavors.[15]Breakthrough and second album (2019–2020)
In May 2019, Forestella released their second full-length album, Mystique, on May 22 through Universal Music.[16] The album showcased their signature crossover style, blending classical, musical theater, and pop elements across 12 tracks, including lead singles "Dear Moon," "Angel," and a rendition of "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music.[16] Recorded just over a year after their debut, Mystique highlighted the group's evolving vocal harmonies and theatrical arrangements, with contributions from producers who emphasized their operatic foundations.[17] The release marked a significant step in Forestella's rising prominence, as they launched the Mystique Tour later that year to promote the album. The nationwide tour included performances in major cities, such as a show at BEXCO Auditorium in Busan on July 6, drawing audiences eager for their live interpretations of the new material.[18] An encore concert followed on September 22 at the Aram Nuri Art Center in Goyang, capturing the high-energy set in a live DVD release that further amplified their fanbase.[19] These events solidified their reputation for dynamic stage presence, combining intricate vocal layering with dramatic lighting and choreography. Extending their momentum into late 2019, Forestella held the Winter Forest Concerts, a series of seasonal performances that featured holiday-themed arrangements and selections from Mystique. The concerts emphasized intimate, festive atmospheres, allowing the group to connect with fans through acoustic renditions and special encores. In 2020, amid global challenges, they continued building acclaim by winning the National Assembly Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee Chairman's Award at the Newsis K-Expo on August 26, recognizing their contributions to Korean crossover music and cultural export.[20] This honor, shared with acts like NCT 127, underscored their breakthrough as a leading vocal ensemble. They also initiated the Nella Fantasia: Time Travel Tour in 2020, which adapted to virtual and limited-capacity formats, spanning into 2021 and showcasing timeless tracks alongside newer works.Label change, third album, and challenges (2021–2023)
In early 2021, Forestella released their third studio album, The Forestella, on April 19 digitally and May 1 in physical format under Universal Music Group. The album comprises 10 tracks blending classical covers such as "Nella Fantasia" from The Mission soundtrack with original compositions like "Ties" and "Words from the Wind," highlighting the group's signature vocal layering and emotional range. It peaked at number 8 on the Circle Chart Retail Album Chart, underscoring their steady domestic appeal amid the crossover genre.[21][22] Following the album's launch, the group faced a significant transition in management. On June 30, 2021, their contract with Arts & Artists concluded, prompting a brief period of independent operations. By August 2, 2021, Beat Interactive announced an exclusive contract with Forestella, assuming responsibility for their music production, promotions, broadcasting, and international activities to support expanded global outreach. This shift allowed the quartet to refocus on creative projects under new leadership, though it involved logistical adjustments during a time of industry recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021–2023 period brought additional hurdles, primarily stemming from mandatory military service obligations for South Korean male citizens. While older members Bae Doo-hoon, Kang Hyung-ho, and Cho Min-gyu had completed their respective duties earlier—Bae in the Navy as a social service agent and the others in police roles—the youngest, Go Woo-rim, enlisted on November 20, 2023, as a member of the Army Band after basic training. His 18-month service, announced by Beat Interactive on September 26, 2023, led to trio-based activities for the group, including releases like the digital single "White Night" in June 2023 and the EP Unfinished later that year, testing their adaptability while maintaining momentum. Go's enlistment, combined with prior personal milestones such as marriages for three members between 2022 and 2023, underscored the personal and professional balancing acts during this era.[23]Comeback, tour, and recent milestones (2024–present)
In 2024, Forestella continued their activities as a trio while member Go Woo-rim served in the military, releasing the digital single "Apocalypse" on October 26, which showcased their signature crossover style blending classical and contemporary elements.[24][25] The group followed this with their solo concert "THE ILLUSIONIST" on November 2 and 3 at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul, featuring performances of their new track alongside fan favorites, emphasizing illusion-themed staging and vocal harmonies.[26] An encore edition of the concert was held in December, including a live version of the holiday single "And Spring" (그리고 봄), released digitally on December 25, which captured seasonal introspection through layered vocals and orchestral arrangements.[27][28] The group's full comeback arrived in 2025 following Go Woo-rim's discharge from the Army Band on May 19, after 18 months of service, allowing Forestella to reunite as a quartet for the first time since 2023.[9] Marking the occasion, they released the single "Everything" on July 9, a poignant track highlighting themes of reunion and perseverance, produced under Beat Interactive.[29] This release paved the way for their nationwide tour "THE WAVE," which launched on July 26 and 27 at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul, incorporating extended reality (XR) technology for immersive visuals and drawing sold-out crowds that praised the group's synchronized performances.[30][31] The tour progressed to Busan on August 9 and 10 at Bexco, followed by Daegu dates on August 23 and 24, where Forestella delivered high-energy sets blending operatic arias with pop covers, solidifying their reputation for emotional depth and technical precision.[32] Due to overwhelming demand, an encore concert was announced and held on September 13 and 14 at Kyung Hee University's Peace Hall in Seoul, featuring reimagined arrangements and audience interactions that extended the tour's wave-like momentum.[33][34] Recent milestones include Forestella receiving the Brand of the Year award for Best Crossover Band on September 3, 2024, their fourth consecutive win (2021–2024) in the category, recognizing their sustained influence in the genre.[6] Looking ahead, the group is scheduled for the "Island of Music - Yonghodo Forestella" solo concert in Tongyeong on November 20, 2025, promising a thematic exploration of musical islands with innovative staging.[35] Additionally, they announced a North America tour for late 2025, expanding their global reach with stops in major cities to showcase their evolving artistry.[36]Members
Bae Doo-hoon
Bae Doo-hoon (born July 15, 1986) is a South Korean musical theatre actor and singer who serves as the tenor vocalist of the classical crossover group Forestella.[37][38] He is recognized for his versatile vocal range and stage presence, blending operatic techniques with contemporary and traditional Korean elements in performances. Prior to joining Forestella, Bae established himself in the musical theatre scene and fusion music projects, drawing on his acting training to enhance his expressive delivery. He married musical actress Kang Yeon-jung in May 2023.[39] Born in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, Bae graduated from Namkang High School and later attended the Korea National University of Arts, where he majored in acting within the School of Drama.[39][37] Although he initially pursued acting, Bae's passion for singing led him to explore vocal performance early on, influenced by his childhood dream of becoming a musician. He completed his mandatory military service in the Republic of Korea Army before fully committing to the arts.[40] Bae began his professional career as a musical actor, making his debut in November 2013 with the role of Poongwolju in the eponymous production.[39] He followed this with appearances in other theatre works, including Our Bad Magnet, and took on the role of Mark in a Korean production of Rent. Additionally, Bae served as a vocalist for fusion traditional Korean music ensembles such as Soria and the gugak-rock band AUX, where he contributed to innovative blends of pansori and rock elements.[40] His early exposure to these genres honed his ability to adapt classical vocal techniques to modern contexts, a skill that became central to his later work. In 2017, Bae auditioned for the second season of JTBC's Phantom Singer, a competition to form a male crossover vocal quartet, where he showcased his tenor prowess in fusion arrangements.[13] Teaming up with Kang Hyung-ho, Cho Min-gyu, and Ko Woo-rim, the group emerged as winners under the name Forestella, debuting on March 14, 2018, with the album Evolution. As the eldest member and a key creative force, Bae has contributed to the group's signature style, often incorporating gugak influences and guitar accompaniment in live sets.[4] He manages his solo musical theatre commitments under Blue Stage while Forestella operates through Beat Interactive, allowing him to balance group tours—like the 2025 THE WAVE national concert series—with individual projects.[41] In 2021, Bae participated in MBC's King of Masked Singer as a masked contestant, further highlighting his vocal versatility.[37]Kang Hyung-ho
Kang Hyung-ho (born March 8, 1988) is a South Korean singer best known as the countertenor and soprano vocalist of the crossover quartet Forestella.[42][43] He handles the highest vocal range in the group, often performing falsetto and coloratura passages that blend classical and contemporary styles.[44] Raised in Nam-gu, Busan, Kang developed an early interest in music but prioritized academics due to parental expectations. He enrolled at Pusan National University in 2007, majoring in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and graduated with a bachelor's degree.[43] After graduation, he worked as a researcher at a chemical company, while pursuing music as an amateur, including as the vocalist for a college rock band named PITTA.[43] At age 30, he auditioned for the JTBC competition Phantom Singer 2 (2017), performing "The Phantom of the Opera" which showcased his versatile countertenor voice.[43] He advanced by forming the team that became Forestella, ultimately winning the competition and debuting with the group on March 14, 2018, under Arts & Artists.[43] In Forestella, Kang's contributions emphasize dynamic vocal layering, particularly in a cappella arrangements of musical theater and pop songs, helping the group achieve commercial success with albums like Evolution (2018).[44] He has expressed concerns about being typecast solely as a countertenor, aiming to explore broader rock influences within the ensemble.[44] To pursue this, Kang launched a solo career under the stage name PITTA, debuting with the digital single "Universe" on October 29, 2020, which highlighted his rock-oriented songwriting and guitar skills.[42] His solo discography expanded with the EP ID:PITTA in November 2021, featuring tracks that blend rock and ballad elements, followed by subsequent releases including a third EP, New Normal Life, in 2024.[44] In a 2024 interview, Kang discussed the creative process behind New Normal Life, emphasizing themes of personal growth and adaptation amid his dual commitments to Forestella and solo work, alongside planning a nationwide tour.[45] Kang's transition from engineering to music underscores a "carpe diem" philosophy, as he noted in a university alumni feature: "You only live once; time is precious."[43]Cho Min-gyu
Cho Min-gyu (born November 19, 1990) is a South Korean tenor and the leader of the crossover vocal group Forestella.[46] As the group's classico vocal担当, he specializes in high tenor lines, contributing to their signature blend of opera and popular music.[47] Born in Taebaek, Gangwon Province, Cho developed an early interest in music and received support from the Gangwon Future Talent Foundation as a promising artist in the culture and arts field from 2009 to 2016.[48] He graduated from the Vocal Music Department at Seoul Arts High School, where he earned recognition as a next-generation vocalist through awards in various competitions.[49] Cho then pursued higher education at Seoul National University, completing both bachelor's and master's degrees in vocal music.[50] Prior to his debut, Cho focused on classical opera training but auditioned for JTBC's Phantom Singer 2 in 2017 after encouragement from judges at prior auditions to explore crossover genres.[47] He won the competition alongside fellow contestants, forming Forestella and debuting with their album Evolution in March 2018.[47] Within the group, Cho serves as leader, guiding performances and arrangements while delivering agile, high-range vocals in tracks like "Repeat" and live stages.[49] He has also pursued individual activities, debuting solo with the single "New Age" in February 2020 under Beat Interactive, followed by his first mini-album in December 2021.[51]Go Woo-rim
Go Woo-rim (born July 10, 1995) is a South Korean vocalist best known as the bass singer and maknae (youngest member) of the crossover quartet Forestella.[52][53] He possesses a basso profundo vocal range, contributing depth to the group's harmonic arrangements.[54] Raised in South Korea, Go developed an early interest in music and enrolled at Gyeongbuk Arts High School, specializing in vocal music.[4] He later attended Seoul National University, where he majored in vocal music and trained as an opera singer alongside future collaborators.[55] As a third-year student in 2017, he auditioned for JTBC's Phantom Singer 2, a competition to form male vocal quartets blending classical and popular music.[56] His audition performance of a classical piece impressed judges, securing his spot as the youngest contestant and leading to his teaming with Bae Doo-hoon, Kang Hyung-ho, and Cho Min-gyu to form Forestella, which won the competition.[53] Go made his operatic debut in 2018 as Don Pedro and Il Commendatore in a production of Mozart's Don Giovanni at the Seoul Arts Center, shortly before Forestella's official debut.[53] With the group, he has performed on major stages, including albums like Evolution (2018), and recent singles such as "Piano Man" (2024) and "Everything" (2025), emphasizing his role in delivering powerful low notes in crossover arrangements of pop, musical theater, and classical works. In 2021, Forestella signed with Beat Interactive, under which Go also pursued solo endeavors, such as releasing singles and appearing on variety shows.[57] In November 2023, Go enlisted for mandatory military service, undergoing basic training before serving in public duties; he was honorably discharged on May 19, 2025.[57][58] Post-discharge, he resumed activities with Forestella, including their 2025 nationwide tour The Wave—featuring concerts in Seoul, Busan, and other cities—and the release of the single "Everything," marking the group's first full-ensemble project since his enlistment. In November 2025, the group announced their 2025-2026 national tour THE LEGACY.[59][60] He also held a solo fan meeting titled Rainforest in June 2025 at KBS Arena, incorporating interactive games and live performances.[59] In June 2025, Go appeared on MBC's Radio Star, discussing his career. In November 2025, he shared anecdotes from his first meeting with entertainer Kangnam on KBS's Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant.[61] On the personal front, Go began dating Olympic figure skater Kim Yuna in 2018 after meeting through mutual acquaintances in the arts community.[62] The couple announced their engagement in July 2022 and married in a private ceremony on October 16, 2022, in Seoul.[63][64] They have since shared glimpses of their life together, including travels and support for each other's careers, with Go crediting Kim for providing emotional stability during his military service.[65][64]Artistry
Musical style and vocal techniques
Forestella is renowned as a crossover vocal quartet that fuses classical music traditions with contemporary genres, including pop, rock, and musical theater, to create a distinctive sound that appeals to diverse audiences.[46] This hybrid approach allows the group to reinterpret both classical pieces and modern hits through a vocal lens, emphasizing emotional depth and theatrical expression in their arrangements.[66] The quartet's vocal techniques are built on the complementary strengths of its members, who bring specialized training across vocal disciplines: Bae Doo-hoon employs pop and musical theater styles for versatile, narrative-driven delivery; Kang Hyung-ho utilizes tenor and soprano ranges via countertenor technique alongside rock-infused power; Cho Min-gyu draws on classical tenor precision for structural foundation; and Ko Woo-rim provides resonant bass grounding rooted in operatic tradition.[46] This diversity enables Forestella to span the full vocal spectrum from deep bass to high soprano without instrumental support, producing layered a cappella harmonies that mimic orchestral textures.[46] A hallmark of their artistry is the seamless integration of these techniques to achieve dynamic contrasts, such as shifting from ethereal, falsetto-like soprano lines—exemplified by Kang Hyung-ho's gentle countertenor timbre—to robust, rock-edged ensemble choruses that convey intensity and drama.[44] Their performances prioritize vocal blending and precision, often transforming songs into immersive soundscapes that highlight technical prowess while maintaining accessibility for pop listeners.[66]Influences and collaborations
Forestella's musical style draws from a rich blend of classical traditions and contemporary genres, including opera, rock, and K-pop, reflecting the diverse backgrounds of its members. Baritone Bae Doo-hoon brings influences from musical theater and pop, while bass Ko Woo-rim and tenor Cho Min-gyu contribute operatic and classical depth, and countertenor Kang Hyung-ho incorporates rock elements, evolving from gentle falsetto techniques to more robust expressions.[4][44][12] This crossover approach is evident in their repertoire, which reinterprets classics like Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and Mecano's "Hijo de la Luna" with dramatic vocal layering, showcasing inspirations from iconic rock and Latin pop. Their compositions often emphasize emotional storytelling through vocal color and dynamics, prioritizing harmonic innovation over strict genre boundaries.[12] Forestella has pursued notable collaborations that highlight their versatility. In 2018, shortly after forming, they joined forces with Forte di Quattro—the winners of the inaugural Phantom Singer season—for the single "L'impossibile Vivere," a poignant Italian ballad that united the two quartets' vocal strengths in a non-album release. The group featured on Secret Garden's 2019 track "Beautiful," where their rich harmonies complemented the duo's signature Celtic-inspired instrumentals, resulting in a wistful ballad that peaked on international charts.[67] In 2020, Forestella contributed to the LUNCHSONG Project's "Ttanttala blues," infusing the narrative folk-blues song with layered vocals that evoked nostalgic Korean storytelling traditions.[68] Their 2021 holiday collaboration "Christmas Time" with K-pop group A.C.E and soloist SHY, released as Beat Interactive's inaugural project single, merged festive pop with choral arrangements for a seasonal hit.[69]Discography

Extended plays and singles
Forestella's extended plays and singles reflect their evolution as a classical crossover group, often featuring innovative arrangements that merge operatic vocals with pop, rock, and electronic elements. These releases frequently serve as creative experiments or tie-ins to performances, allowing the quartet to explore thematic narratives through concise track selections. Unlike their full-length albums, these works emphasize singular concepts or seasonal motifs, with production handled primarily by Beat Interactive and collaborators like YG Plus. The group's debut extended play, The Beginning: World Tree, arrived on May 30, 2022. This five-track mini album introduces a mythological framework inspired by the Norse world tree Yggdrasil, blending symphonic orchestration with modern beats. The lead single, "Save Our Lives," became a fan favorite for its urgent, anthemic chorus and layered harmonies. Other tracks include "Moonlight," a ballad evoking nocturnal serenity, and "Stay" (멀어지지 말아주세요), which incorporates Korean lyrical elements for emotional depth.[74][75] Their second EP, Unfinished, was released on November 8, 2023, marking a return after a period of individual activities. Comprising six tracks, it delves into introspective themes of incompleteness and longing, with the title track "Snow Globe" capturing fragile, wintery nostalgia through crystalline vocals and piano-driven melodies. The album's production highlights the members' matured range, including a remix of earlier material, and it debuted at number 20 on the Circle Retail Album Chart.[76][77]| Release Title | Type | Release Date | Lead Single | Label | Notes |

Performances
Television and variety shows
The group has made frequent appearances on KBS 2TV's Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend, a program featuring reinterpreted classic songs, where they have secured multiple victories, establishing themselves as one of the show's most successful acts. In July 2025, following member Go Woo-rim's discharge from military service, Forestella reunited for their first full-group performance in nearly two years during the King of Kings special, delivering a powerful rendition that clinched the top spot and reinforced their undefeated streak on the program.[87] They extended this success in September 2025 with a win in the Lee Young-ae tribute episode, performing an emotional cover that highlighted their harmonic synergy and emotional depth.[88][89] Individual members have also showcased their talents on other singing programs, such as MBC's King of Mask Singer, with Bae Doo-hoon competing under a mask and advancing significantly in 2021. On variety shows, Forestella appeared as a group on MBC's Omniscient Interfering View (also known as The Manager) in September 2023, offering viewers an intimate look at their concert preparations and the lighter side of their professional dynamics despite their typically serious image.[90] Additionally, in June 2025, Go Woo-rim joined MBC's Radio Star to discuss his personal life, including his marriage to figure skater Kim Yuna, providing rare insights into the member's off-stage experiences.[62]Concert tours and live events
Forestella began their concert career with their debut nationwide tour, the "Evolution Concert," in 2018, shortly after forming as winners of JTBC's Phantom Singer 2. The tour, which ran from March 9 to May 12, featured performances across multiple South Korean cities, showcasing their blend of classical and popular music in venues like the Universal Arts Center in Seoul. This marked their first major live outing, emphasizing vocal harmonies and theatrical elements that became hallmarks of their shows.[15] In 2019, the group undertook the "Mystique Tour" to promote their second studio album, performing in key locations such as Busan at BEXCO Auditorium on July 6. The tour highlighted intricate arrangements and multimedia staging, drawing large crowds and solidifying their reputation for immersive live experiences. Later that year, they held the "Winter Forest Concerts," seasonal events that incorporated holiday themes with operatic covers, further expanding their domestic fanbase.[18] The COVID-19 pandemic impacted their schedule, but Forestella adapted with the "Nella Fantasia: Time Travel Tour" starting in August 2020 after earlier dates were postponed due to restrictions. The tour featured performances in Busan at BEXCO on November 1 and 14, 2020, and extended into 2021, focused on time-themed narratives through songs like the title track remake, blending classical arias with contemporary pieces across cities including Seoul. This period demonstrated their resilience, with shows emphasizing emotional depth and audience connection despite limited capacities.[91][92] By 2021, Forestella launched "The Forestella Tour" to celebrate their 1,000th day since debut, commencing June 12 in Suwon and continuing nationwide through October 17, with Seoul dates at Olympic Hall on June 26-27. The production featured elaborate lighting and choreography, highlighting their evolution as performers. This was followed by "The Royal" in late 2021, a Seoul-exclusive run at Jangchung Arena on December 18-19, previewing their palace-inspired concept.[93][94] The "The Royal: Palace of Forestella" tour in 2022-2023 expanded to a full nationwide scale, kicking off December 24-25 in Daegu, followed by Seoul on January 7-8 and Busan on January 14-15, and concluding February 26 at KSPO Dome. Themed around royal grandeur, it incorporated new songs and orchestral elements, attracting over 50,000 attendees across stops and earning praise for its cinematic production.[95][96] In early 2023, Forestella ventured internationally with their first North American Tour, starting January 20 in Los Angeles at Pechanga Resort & Casino, then proceeding to Dallas, Atlanta, and Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Theatre on January 26, with a Canadian stop in Toronto. The five-city run showcased their global appeal, performing hits like "U" and "Save Our Lives" to diverse audiences. Later that year, the "The Light Tour Concert" ran from June 17 to September 17 across eight South Korean cities, ending in Gwangju, and featured innovative lighting effects symbolizing enlightenment through music. They also hosted the "Forestella Festival" in October, a special event blending concert and fan interaction.[97][98][99][100] In 2024, Forestella presented "FNL (Forestella Night Live) Show," an intimate series of live events emphasizing unplugged performances and audience engagement, held at Jangchung Gymnasium in September. The year also included appearances at international expos, such as their Expo 2020 Dubai set (performed January 16, 2022) reprised in later global showcases.[101][102] Their 2025 "The Wave" nationwide tour commenced July 26-27 at Seoul's Jangchung Arena, followed by Busan at BEXCO on August 9-10 and Daegu on August 23-24, incorporating XR technology for immersive visuals. The tour sold out rapidly, reflecting heightened popularity post-Go Woo-rim's return, and concluded with an encore at Kyung Hee University's Peace Hall in Seoul on September 13-14, where they performed reimagined tracks amid waves of light and sound effects. This series underscored their ongoing innovation in live production, drawing record crowds and critical acclaim for vocal prowess.[103][104][33][105][33] Following the Wave tour, Forestella performed at the Cheonan Heungtaeryeong Dance Festival opening ceremony on September 24, 2025, and at the Amway National Convention in Busan on September 28, 2025. On November 1, 2025, they took the stage at the Busan International Choir Festival's Grand Concert at BEXCO Auditorium. On November 13, 2025, the group announced their 2025-2026 national tour "THE LEGACY," scheduled to begin December 27-28 at Korea University's Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul, with additional dates in Daegu and other cities planned.[106][107][108][109]Awards and nominations
