Gopal Rai
Gopal Rai (born 10 May 1975) is an Indian politician affiliated with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and serving as Cabinet Minister for Environment, Forests and Wildlife, Development, and General Administration in the Delhi government.[1][2] A postgraduate in Sociology from Lucknow University, Rai represents the Babarpur constituency in the Delhi Legislative Assembly, having secured victories in multiple elections.[1][2] Rai has been a key organizational figure in AAP since its roots in the 2011 India Against Corruption movement, contributing to the party's expansion through grassroots mobilization and public outreach as a noted orator.[3][4] In his ministerial roles, he has overseen initiatives such as the 21-point Winter Action Plan aimed at mitigating Delhi's seasonal air pollution, incorporating measures like drone surveillance and artificial rain technologies, though the capital's air quality challenges persist amid regional factors.[5][6]
