In early 2023, VICTON's leader Han Seungwoo was discharged from his mandatory military service on January 27, marking the completion of his 21-month enlistment that began in July 2021.[63] Shortly thereafter, member Kang Seungsik enlisted on March 20 as part of the military band, followed by Lim Sejun's enlistment on June 13 as an active-duty soldier.[64][65] These staggered military commitments, combined with prior enlistments and a member departure in 2022, contributed to the group's shift away from collective activities. On April 20, 2023, IST Entertainment announced that members Choi Byungchan, Do Hanse, and Jung Subin would not renew their exclusive contracts upon expiration, ending the agency's management of them while affirming their continued status as VICTON members.[66] The group entered an indefinite hiatus thereafter, with no new music releases or official promotions following their 2022 album Chaos, as members prioritized individual pursuits amid ongoing military obligations.[66] By late 2024, the remaining contracts concluded: Han Seungwoo's on November 27, followed by Seungsik's and Sejun's on December 17, after which all members departed IST Entertainment.[4] Sejun, who was discharged on December 12, 2024, faced a setback in July 2025 when health issues forced his withdrawal from KCON LA performances, as announced by his agency WAY BETTER.[67] Despite the hiatus and label transitions, VICTON marked their 9th debut anniversary on November 9, 2025, with a casual reunion that underscored their lasting camaraderie. Han Seung-woo (born December 24, 1994) served as the leader and main vocalist of Victon from the group's debut in 2016 until the end of his contract activities in 2024. He enlisted for mandatory military service on July 28, 2021, and was discharged on January 27, 2023. His exclusive contract with IST Entertainment terminated on November 27, 2024, marking his departure from the agency through non-renewal. Post-departure, Han Seung-woo signed with Aura Entertainment on December 13, 2024, and continued his career as a solo artist and actor, releasing the single album Scene on June 5, 2024, the single "Positive Vibes" on April 20, 2025, and his fourth mini album Top Note on June 30, 2025.[10][69] Kang Seung-sik (born April 15, 1997) was a vocalist in Victon from 2016 until his contract expired in late 2024. He enlisted in the military on March 22, 2023, and was discharged on September 19, 2024. His exclusive contract with IST Entertainment ended on December 17, 2024, via non-renewal. Following his departure, Kang Seung-sik pursued acting and musical theater roles, including OST contributions like "What If" for EXchange 2 and "기억이 잠든 사이에 (Part 5)" for Find Me in Your Memory, before signing an exclusive contract with MUMW Entertainment on July 30, 2025, and debuting with the solo single "괜찮은 오차 (Perfectly Imperfect)" on October 1, 2025.[70] Heo Chan (born October 8, 1998) performed as a vocalist and dancer in Victon from the group's formation in 2016 until his voluntary exit on October 11, 2022, prompted by a drunk driving incident in September 2022 that led to a police investigation and suspension of activities. After leaving, Heo Chan focused on personal reflection and limited public endeavors under his former agency, with no major group promotions thereafter. Lim Se-jun (born March 19, 1998) acted as a vocalist in Victon starting in 2016, enlisting for military service on June 13, 2023, and discharging on December 12, 2024. His contract with IST Entertainment concluded on December 17, 2024, through non-renewal.
